REJECTION BY BEHAVIOUR

It is much ideal to have more than a minister in a church, whether large or small as long as the church can cater and cherish them. After all, A.C.F.M. at Akwu/Obuor and Okehi have more than two ministers, likewise Egbeke during the stay of Rev. L.O. Chioma, Levi Anele, and with Apostle Collins Nwogu. But you may think, why do I see anything wrong in the station at Umuokom Ulakwo, my new station. This thought might perfectly be okay because some people have not known why I wrote to the bishop refuting the offer of transfer to Umuokom Ulakwo station. Some might think it is because of the late Sam Agubulom's wife who is still living in the parsonage. Whatever may be the thought of man, I’m a bit responsible for that for not disclosing my intention to them unless a few of them I felt like briefing them about it. But it is not a surprise that even some ministers whom I know quite well have listened to the wrong voice and concluded that I did wrong. None of them has ever called me to as

ARE YOU WALKING WITH JESUS?

ARE YOU WALKING WITH JESUS? A sermon preached by Fortune Nwaiwu on 09/02/2020 Introduction There was a little track road in one village, and this road was always lonely and deadly. Any one who passed through it hardly returned safely. Some people who went out for economic or business activities without returning home were assumed to have been slaughtered along the area, which was really the case. Countless people had been slaughtered in that zone, and villagers were alarming for the dangers which had beset the area but were unable to rescue themselves, and government never had ears to listen to their plights. One day, it was confirmed that people were maimed, robbed, and raped, and this information really devastated all the villagers with a great tumor, causing a sense of hopelessness, and despair in them.  “Who will rescue us?” They groaned. A little girl of 14 years old, dressed up, and was ready to go to school. She must pass through the track road, and if she would avert the danger

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

Remember Who You Are, a sermon preached by Fortune Nwaiwu Introduction A little girl grew under the care of her guardian, Janet, due to she had lost her father, an Anglican priest and her mum could not provide for the family. Before the death of her father, her father called Janet, her guardian, and handed her over to her to take care of her. As this little child was growing, she became very much acquainted with new modern technologies in her guardian’s house, and tended to live a luxurious life, using make ups, fixing her eye lashes, and fingernails. One day, as she dressed up for a night club, and it happened it was her first time to go for the club, Mrs. Janet sat her down and said, “Remember who you are. You were born to a Christian family, and bred in a Christian family too. Why do you tend to live a worthless life, a life that would never transform your spiritual life? How soon have you forgotten that you are a pastor’s child? You now wear trousers, artificial hair, fixing your

IN WHOSE BOAT ARE YOU DURING YOUR LIFE STORM?

A sermon preached by Fortune Nwaiwu (Call +234-8034- 367-982) Introduction There was a woman who was about entering a boat with her little boy of five years old. The child sighted two boats that were readily available, and then told her mum that they shouldn't enter the bigger boat because he knew the owner- his boat always capsized (keel over) killing alot of lives. However, the woman heeded her son's advice, and then both of them entered the smaller boat. In the middle of their journey, there was a fierce storm, and the sailor, piloting the smaller boat began to pray: "The Lord of the seas, for your mercies, save us!" The passengers joined him in prayers, and the Lord saved them all, while the bigger boat with a large number of souls suffered the storm and perished because they were in a boat of an inexperienced sailor. In fact, they were in a wrong boat, none of them called on the name of Jesus Christ. Our introductory passage has paved a way for us to grasp the hi

Restore to Me My Joy of Your Salvation

January 18, 2020 A sermon preached by Fortune Nwaiwu Psa 51:12 NHEB  Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit. Introduction There is no man on earth that has not in one way or the other experienced the joy of the LORD in his life. Though some people right from their childhood experience pain, and sorrow- their lives know no joy or happiness, while some people's lives progress from happiness to sorrow due to some circumstances, or crimes committed. To crown it all, sins drag away man's joy of salvation. David's crime of adultery with Bathsheba almost devastated his life. The story of this event really shows how human beings reason in some cases, a train of thoughts that are connected to produce that which is inimical, and diabolical to humanity. The story is told and we learn that: David casted his lustful eyes on Bathsheba, which led to committing of adultery, and his subsequent murder of Uriah, the husband of Bathsheba. For David to invite U

DON’T LIVE IN FEAR

DON’T LIVE IN FEAR (A sermon delivered by Fortune Nwaiwu on Wed. 19th  June, 2019) “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline” – 2 Tim. 1:7 NLT Introduction Fear is a psychological phenomenon, a deadly game that may not lead one to the level one desires or to achieve one's aspirations. There are a lot of people who are living under the umbrella of fear. It could be the fear of lack, the fear of losing a partner, job, or the fear of death- living in sickness, or the fear of rejection. Whatever it may be, remember that God has not given you the spirit of fear. Then why must you live in fear? Why would you be afraid of the house rent you have not yet renewed? Why would you be afraid of that your seaming condition now? Why would you fear for the sickness that has bedridden you now? Do you think that God does not see you at the moment of your despair, a time it pains, hurting you all the time? Remember, fear is a weapon of Satan, whi
