THE GOD OF RESTORATION

₦Sermon 39
                               THE GOD OF RESTORATION

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.  – Joel 2:25KJV.

                               Texts: Joel 2:1-32, 2 Kings 5:1-15.

Restoration is the act of bringing back an object, health, riches, or things that have been lost to their original state.
_        Almighty God is the Creator of all things on earth and He restores to his people whatever thing they might have lost in life. Though, we suffer as a result of wonderful opportunities we have missed but such disappointments in life are usually caused by the principalities and powers of the wicked ones on earth and beyond. It may be that we are not doing the right things which God desires from us and as a result, He sends a great band of armies to invade into our lives, business or occupations to ruin them because of our willful waywardness.
Joel whose name literally means “The Lord is God” , a son of Pethual calls attention to a devastating locust and swarms that had previously swept away the foliage from all trees, shrub and crops – (Joel 1:7) planted by the Israelites because of their complete ignorance in knowing the true God. Such crops are of economic values to the Israelites. They lost them to the swarms and locusts that were sent by God as to starve them. Inspite of God’s wrath on his people, Joel predicted God’s future restoration to his people as to comfort them from loses they have suffered from as a result of their sins. Joel, without using his human experience as what it’s at stake today with false prophets, prophesied the vision he received directly from God.
Observe what God has to say to you today. “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you – Joel 2:25.Brethren, the things be it our natural resources, business, our womb, or health which we have lost to a devastating locust or cankerworm or caterpillars either sent by some occultic people, enemies or by God himself, he has solemnly promised to restore them to us. He that has promised us is always faithful and he’ll do whatever thing he said he’ll do.
There are some women whose wombs have been eaten up by some cankerworms by rendering them barren, such women by faith their wombs are restored now in Jesus name. And there are some business men, they make money and when they make plans for something as to invest the money into, Satan may try to bring cankerworm to eat up the money. Thus the money would be used for something else instead of the thing planned for. Sickness can develop in one’s body carrying a band of army of locust, cankerworms or spiritual hoppers to destroy our cells organs but God is more powerful than them. If you are such people that have been injuriously affected by such phenomena believe in the word of prophet and God, it shall be well with you.

Consider Naaman, the captain of the host of the king of Syria who was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria (2 kings 5:1) was a mighty man in valour, and rich but his health was eaten away by cankerworm that instigated leprosy to him. God really restored back his health through Elisha who asked him: “Go bath in the Jordan River Seven times, your flesh will be restored for you” – 2 Kings 5:10. The same God who is unchangeable will also see you through in your own dreadful situations.

There are a lot of people that experience internal heat and persistent stomach aches, niggles or pain, believe me, it will be over today.

Also if you are exiled or banished from your home land and many damages have been done in your household, fear not for the loss of worthy property of yours. God will bountifully restore you to your land and your property. God says: “I will restore them to their land, I the LORD affirms it!” — Jer. 32:44. This is a promise to those who have been held captive by their enemies and those who are been banished from their land.

Brethren, let us remain so faithful to God and he will restore to us the joy of our salvation in Jesus name. Amen.
————Meditation Point—————
LORD may you restore to me what Satan has taken away from me and “restore to us the light of your favour, then we’ll be delivered”— Psalm 80:19 ISV. Amen!

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

Remember Who You Are, a sermon preached by Fortune Nwaiwu Introduction A little girl grew under the care of her guardian, Janet, due to she had lost her father, an Anglican priest and her mum could not provide for the family. Before the death of her father, her father called Janet, her guardian, and handed her over to her to take care of her. As this little child was growing, she became very much acquainted with new modern technologies in her guardian’s house, and tended to live a luxurious life, using make ups, fixing her eye lashes, and fingernails. One day, as she dressed up for a night club, and it happened it was her first time to go for the club, Mrs. Janet sat her down and said, “Remember who you are. You were born to a Christian family, and bred in a Christian family too. Why do you tend to live a worthless life, a life that would never transform your spiritual life? How soon have you forgotten that you are a pastor’s child? You now wear trousers, artificial hair, fixing your ...

JESUS IS KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR

Jesus  is Knocking  A sermon preached by Fortune Nwaiwu on Sun. 9th June, 2019. Introduction : There are different varieties of doors. We have interior doors, exterior doors, glass doors, and wooden doors. But in all, the door that Jesus Christ is Knocking on is your very HEART. Heart is a domain of forces, supposedly a dwelling home of God. Jesus is eager and meek to come into your heart and dwell in there to feed you with good thoughts nourishing your soul to keep it secure from danger and sin, and to give it life in abundance but Satan is aggressively fighting to steal it. Jesus Christ says: ‘The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly', John 10:10 NHEB. There are people whose souls have been stolen by Satan with the wealth of this world, and they tend to believe that they have gotten all they want in life. Such people are not only unbelievers but also some church members. Their belief in self-satisfac...

Where is the God of Elijah?

sermon 3.   Where is the God of Elijah? A sermon preached on Friday, 21/12/2018 “Elisha picked up Elijah’s cloak, which had fallen when he was taken up. Then Elisha returned to the bank of the Jordan River. He struck the water with Elijah’s cloak and cried out, “Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” Then the river divided, and Elisha went across”─ 2 Kings 2:13. As you have been here tonight, singing and praising God, the prayers we had made so far have been answered by God. Your needs tonight will be provided for you. Say amen! Our message comes inform of a question, which calls for the expectation of absolute answers. Literary critics may term it a rhetorical question─ a question that doesn’t demand for any answer.   But, for the reason that you are here tonight for Jesus the message will yield positive answers for us. You may have heard many things God did through Elijah, sparing him from the wrath of Queen Jezebel who vowed to kill him by all mean...
