THE RESURRECTION HOPE

THE RESURRECTION HOPE

_ Blessed and holy is the one who takes part in the first resurrection”
                                       Rev. 20:6 NET.

Resurrection simply means coming back to life and it’s one of the most crucial facts in the doctrines of the gospel. Before someone takes part in a resurrection, he must be confirmed dead by people. Our Lord Jesus Christ was sentenced to death. He was killed and buried to save mankind. His enemies who heard him clearly when he said he would rise on the third day, assigned guards (Soldiers) to watch so that his disciples would not come to steal his body and profess to the entire public that he had risen. The scripture says: “Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good” (psalm 127:2)

At the appointed time, there was an earthquake and many saints who were waiting on the Lord’s Day followed Christ to resurrect. They moved to holy cities and were seen by many people.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ comforts the Christians that there is hope in Jesus Christ. In him we put our trust and hope. The disciples who were crying when he was killed now rejoiced as he appeared to them and also ate with them.

The Jews who denied that Jesus Christ is the son of God; his resurrection confirmed it that he is truly the son of Most High God and our justification is secured in his risen body (Romans 4:25, John 2:19, 10:17). His risen body is a clear proof that he has made a full atonement for our iniquities and his sacrifice was accepted as a divine justice. His body was given as a selfless sacrificial offering and his resurrection assures us that there is resurrection for the believers who died in Christ.

Note: There are some people who are being watched by some occultic priests. They don’t want to see you progress in life. Whether you are at home or not they have their spiritual satellite to mirror you. Such people are enemies of progress just like the guards who were paid to stop the resurrection of Jesus Christ. They did not stop it. Therefore brethren you are unstoppable in doing what would please our God.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ assures us that those who died for his sake will one day resurrect  at the appointed day that is unknown by man except Jehovah our God. Therefore, there is hope for the Christians.

—————Meditation Point———————
Lord may I be considered worthy in your sight at the day you will judge the world. May you call up my ruined soul to follow you to your kingdom, amen!

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

Remember Who You Are, a sermon preached by Fortune Nwaiwu Introduction A little girl grew under the care of her guardian, Janet, due to she had lost her father, an Anglican priest and her mum could not provide for the family. Before the death of her father, her father called Janet, her guardian, and handed her over to her to take care of her. As this little child was growing, she became very much acquainted with new modern technologies in her guardian’s house, and tended to live a luxurious life, using make ups, fixing her eye lashes, and fingernails. One day, as she dressed up for a night club, and it happened it was her first time to go for the club, Mrs. Janet sat her down and said, “Remember who you are. You were born to a Christian family, and bred in a Christian family too. Why do you tend to live a worthless life, a life that would never transform your spiritual life? How soon have you forgotten that you are a pastor’s child? You now wear trousers, artificial hair, fixing your ...

JESUS IS KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR

Jesus  is Knocking  A sermon preached by Fortune Nwaiwu on Sun. 9th June, 2019. Introduction : There are different varieties of doors. We have interior doors, exterior doors, glass doors, and wooden doors. But in all, the door that Jesus Christ is Knocking on is your very HEART. Heart is a domain of forces, supposedly a dwelling home of God. Jesus is eager and meek to come into your heart and dwell in there to feed you with good thoughts nourishing your soul to keep it secure from danger and sin, and to give it life in abundance but Satan is aggressively fighting to steal it. Jesus Christ says: ‘The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly', John 10:10 NHEB. There are people whose souls have been stolen by Satan with the wealth of this world, and they tend to believe that they have gotten all they want in life. Such people are not only unbelievers but also some church members. Their belief in self-satisfac...

Where is the God of Elijah?

sermon 3.   Where is the God of Elijah? A sermon preached on Friday, 21/12/2018 “Elisha picked up Elijah’s cloak, which had fallen when he was taken up. Then Elisha returned to the bank of the Jordan River. He struck the water with Elijah’s cloak and cried out, “Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” Then the river divided, and Elisha went across”─ 2 Kings 2:13. As you have been here tonight, singing and praising God, the prayers we had made so far have been answered by God. Your needs tonight will be provided for you. Say amen! Our message comes inform of a question, which calls for the expectation of absolute answers. Literary critics may term it a rhetorical question─ a question that doesn’t demand for any answer.   But, for the reason that you are here tonight for Jesus the message will yield positive answers for us. You may have heard many things God did through Elijah, sparing him from the wrath of Queen Jezebel who vowed to kill him by all mean...
